Abstract


The aim of this research is to know: (1) the influence of perception on audio-visual learning media and self-efficacy together on the scientific literacy ability of private junior high school students in Bekasi Regency; (2) the effect of perception on audio-visual learning media on the scientific literacy skills of private junior high school students in Bekasi Regency; and (3) the effect of self-efficacy on the scientific literacy ability of private junior high school students in Bekasi Regency. The method used is a survey method. A sample of 60 students was taken by using multistage random sampling technique. Data analysis with multiple regression that calculates the description of the data, test the data analysis requirements, and test the hypothesis. The results of the study concluded as follows: 1) There was a significant effect of students' perceptions of audio-visual learning media and self-efficacy together on scientific literacy skills as evidenced by sig. = 0.000 < 0.05 and Fh = 34.232. There is a significant effect of students' perceptions of audio-visual learning media on scientific literacy skills as evidenced by sig. = 0.000 < 0.05 and th 2.426. There is a significant effect of self-efficacy on scientific literacy skills as evidenced by sig. = 0.000 < 0.05 and th 3.313.
