FEAR OF MISSING OUT (FOMO) DALAM PERSPEKTIF TEORI SOLUTION FOCUSED BRIEF COUNSELING

Abstract


Kualitas Kesehatan mental saat ini mengalami penurunan. Salah satu penyebabnya adalah meningkatkan kecanduan media sosial. Sebagai efek dari kecanduan diindikasikan munculnya FoMo dikalangan mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur kondisi FoMo dan mengkaji FoMo dari perspektif teori Solution Focused Brief Counseling (SFBC). Responden dalam penelitian adalah mahamahasiswa yang berjumlah 50 orang. Instrument yang digunakan adalah inventori FoMo. Data di analisis menggunakan pemodelan rasch. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas item sangat baik, kualitas responden baik serta interaksi antara responden dan item sangat baik. Item yang memiliki nilai measure yang tinggi adalah Item yang berkaitan dengan perasaan gelisah, ketakutan ketinggalan informasi tentang teman/kelompoknya, keinginan selalu update dalam perspektif SFBC perasaan tersebut muncul karena ketidakberdayaan individu dalam mengatasi perasaan gelisah/ketakutannya terhadap suatu hal. Adapun teknik yang dapat digunakan dalam SFBC untuk mereduksi FoMo adalah (a) pertanyaan koping, (b) pertanyaan pencarian pengecualian, (c) pertanyaan ajaib, (d) pertanyaan penskalaan, dan (e) pertanyaan pengembangan tugas
