Author Guidelines
Please prepare your manuscript following the instructions for authors given below before submitting it online at below. Basically, the template for RDJE journal follows the author guidelines attached in here.
AUTHOR GUIDELINES
Research and Development Journal of Education (RDJE)
1. Focus and Scope
The Research and Development Journal of Education (RDJE) publishes research results, development, and scientific studies in the field of education, including, but not limited to:
- Social Studies Education
- Science Education
- Formal Education
- Non-formal Education
- Informal Education
- Other relevant types of education.
This journal is open access and published by Indraprasta PGRI University.
2. Manuscript Requirements
- Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not currently under review in another journal.
- Written in clear and following standard of Indonesian language or English.
- Manuscripts should be between 4,000 and 7,000 words (including bibliography, tables, and figures) or 15 pages maximum
- All manuscripts must be submitted through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) RDJE.
- Each manuscript will undergo double-blind peer review process.
3. Manuscript Format
- Use the RDJE manuscript template which is available on the journal website.
The general format is as follows:
- Use A4 paper size with Times New Roman font, single-spaced, 2.5 cm margins on all sides, and in Word or RTF format.
4. Manuscript Structure
Manuscripts are expected to follow the following structure:
1. Title
- Concise, informative, and reflective of the manuscript content.
- Maximum 15 words or 3 lines, written in Indonesian language or English.
2. Author and Affiliation
- Write full names without academic titles.
- Include institutional affiliation and an active email address.
- Corresponding authors should be marked with an asterisk (*).
3. Abstract
- Written in Indonesian language or English.
- 150–250 words length.
- Includes the objectives, methods, research results, and conclusions.
- Write 3–6 keywords.
4. Introduction
Explain the background of the problem, relevant literature review, research objectives.
5. Literature Review (Optional)
6. Method
- Describe the research approach, subjects or samples, instruments, procedures, and data analysis techniques.
7. Results and Discussion
- Present the main research findings, analysis, and data interpretation.
- May include tables or figures with clear captions.
8. Conclusion
- A brief summary of the research results and their implications.
- May include suggestions for further research.
9. Acknowledgements (optional)
- Addressed to government funding agencies.
10. References
- Use APA Style, 7th Edition (American Psychological Association).
- Use reference management applications such as Mendeley or Zotero is recommended.

5. Picture, Tables, and Citations
• Picture and tables should be numbered consecutively (e.g., Figure 1, Table 2).
• Captions should be placed below the figure and above the table.
• All in-text citations should be listed in the bibliography, and vice versa.

6. Review Process
- All submitted manuscripts will be screened by the editor to ensure they align with the journal's focus and scope.
- Manuscripts that pass the initial selection process will be sent to two anonymous reviewers (double-blind review).
- The final decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief based on the reviewers' recommendations.
7. Publication Fee (Article Processing Charge)
- There is no submission fee.
- There is no article processing charge.
- Authors will receive a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) and open access to their articles.
8. Copyright and Open Access Policy
- Authors retain copyright to their articles and grant RDJE permission to publish under Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY-SA 4.0) license.
- All articles are freely accessible and can be used again with original source acknowledgement
9. Publication Ethics
Authors are required to follow the RDJE Publication Ethics, which are based on the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines. Any form of plagiarism, data fabrication, and publication duplication will be subject to sanctions in the form of article retraction.
10. Manuscript Submission
Manuscripts must be submitted through the OJS system at https://newjournal.lppmunindra.ac.id/index.php/RDJE
Uploaded files include:
1. Main manuscript (without author identification for the double-blind process).
2. Author identification files (name, affiliation, and email address).
