Journal History

Starting Volume 6 Number 1 September 2018, Jurnal Desain changed the writing guidelines for authors, including the format of articles from two columns to one column. Jurnal Desain also accepts manuscripts in two languages, namely English and Indonesian.

Since Volume 6 Number 2 January 2019, Jurnal Desain has added DOI to articles published in PDF format.

Starting from Volume 8 Number 1 September 2020, Jurnal Desain changed its style from the Modern Language Style 8th edition to the The Chicago Manual Style 17th edition. So there are adjustments to the manuscript template.

Starting from Volume 11 No. 1 September 2023, Jurnal Desain changed its logo, article template. Writing citations and references using the American Psychological Association 7th edition.

Starting 1 April 2024, Jurnal Desain provides Fast Track Review service. Fast Track Review is a special service to get a faster response from reviewers. Fast Track Review is available because it addresses a current issue, requires faster publication, or various other author needs. This service does not guarantee that the article will be accepted for publication.

Starting December 2024, we will require every author submitting a manuscript to Jurnal Desain to include an Integrity Pact with the manuscript submission. 

Starting January 2025,Jurnal Desain will apply an Article Publication Charge (APC) of IDR 500,000. This fee will be charged for manuscripts submitted, processed and published from January 2025.

Starting February 2025, Jurnal Desain changed the Editorial Team formation following Panduan Editorial Pengelolaan Jurnal Ilmiah published by Direktorat Pengelolaan Kekayaan Intelektual Deputi Bidang Penguatan Riset dan Pengembangan Kementerian Riset Teknologi/ Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional in 2020
