Abstract


Pemecahan masalah matematis merupakan salah satu kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi yang penting dimiliki siswa dalam menghadapi tantangan abad ke-21.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan pemecahan masalah berdasarkan kepercayaan diri. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data melalui tes, angket kepercayaan diri, dan wawancara. Hasil angket dikelompokkan dalam tiga kategori yaitu tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Responden diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling masing-masing sebanyak satu siswa. Analisis data meliputi reduksi data, penyajian, dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan siswa kepercayaan diri tinggi mampu memenuhi sindikator pemecahan masalah dengan baik. Siswa dengan tingkat kepercayaan diri sedang menunjukkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang bervariasi dengan kelemahan utama pada konsistensi penerapan strategi dan evaluasi hasil pekerjaan. Siswa dengan kepercayaan diri rendah mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami masalah dan memilih pendekatan yang sesuai. Hasil penelitian dapat dikembangkan sebagai dasar menyusun model pembelajaran inovatif.
