Abstract


The purpose of this study was to determine: 1) The combined influence of curiosity and task commitment on mathematical communication. 2) The influence of curiosity on mathematical communication. 3) The influence of task commitment on mathematical communication. A survey was conducted among 87 vocational high school students in East Bekasi. Multiple linear regression was used to analyze the data. The findings indicate that: 1) both curiosity and task commitment significantly influence mathematical communication skills Sig. = 0.000, Fcount = 35.575. 2) curiosity significantly improves mathematical communication skills Sig. = 0.000, tcount = 4.129. 3) task commitment also significantly enhances mathematical communication skills Sig. = 0.000, tcount = 4.305
