Abstract


Students with high self-efficacy can regulate their self-motivation and will be able to persist when experiencing difficulties in learning. Eventually, they will have good learning achievements in natural sciences. This study aims to analyze and test the truth of the hypothesis regarding the effect of Self-Efficacy and Learning Motivation on Learning Achievement. The research hypotheses tested include: 1) The effect of self-efficacy and learning motivation together on learning achievement in natural sciences; 2) The Effect of Self-Efficacy on Learning Achievement in Natural Sciences; and 3) The Influence of Learning Motivation on Learning Achievement in Natural Sciences. The research was conducted by survey method. The population is class VII private junior high school students in Bekasi City in the even semester of the 2021/2022 school year, with a sample size of 86 students, and random sampling technique. The research instrument used was a self-efficacy questionnaire and a learning motivation questionnaire. Science learning achievement scores are taken from science report cards in the even semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. The results of hypothesis testing using multiple regression model data analysis show that: 1) There is a significant effect of self-efficacy and learning motivation together on science learning achievement, as evidenced by Sig. 0.000 < 0.05 and F 164.756; 2) There is an effect of self-efficacy on science learning achievement, as evidenced by Sig. 0.000 < 0.05 and t 12.776; 3) There is a significant effect of learning motivation on science learning achievement, as evidenced by Sig. 0.000 < 0.05 and t 5.434. The results of this study are useful for improving the quality of science learning in terms of the use of non-diagnostic assessment results in the form of self-efficacy assessments and learning motivation.
