Abstract

The development of information technology in the digital era has had a significant impact on information management and business processes in various organizations, including in the health sector. A clinic in South Kalimantan, Pramesthi Health Care Clinic, still uses manual recording of medical records which results in inefficient and time-consuming patient data management. The study aims to design a medical record information system using Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 software development platform and Microsoft Access database management system to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of medical record data management at Pramesthi Health Care Clinic. This research uses the MDLC (Multimedia Development Life Cycle) system development method which consists of six stages, namely conceptualizing, designing, collecting materials, making, testing, and distributing. In addition, the collection of information needed in the design of this system is done through interviews with clinic managers and literature studies. The result of this research is a medical record information system application that can be used by clinic staff to enter and manage patient, doctor, and staff data. This application is also equipped with features for recording patient visit history, treatment transactions, and making reports regularly.
