Abstract


PT ABC is a company that produces cigarette paper and packaging boxes for cigarette products, food, and also some products. In the company there is a MK920YMI cutting machine that operates continuously without stopping so that damage often occurs due to continuous operation without stopping and can affect the productivity of the machine. The purpose of this study is to determine the performance level of the cutting machine and find out the factors that cause problems and solutions. This research uses the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method which is based on three main components, namely availability, performance, and quality.  Based on the results of data processing that has been done, it can be concluded that the OEE value of the cutting machine is 81,33%, the availability rate is 95%, the performance rate is 86%, and the quality rate is 99.43%. By analyzing the factors that cause problems on the machine using a cause-and-effect diagram, it can be analyzed that the cause of the low overall equipment effectiveness value on the machine is influenced by the low performance value of human factors, machines, methods, environment, and equipment.
