UPAYA PEMERTAHANAN PREDIKAT SEKOLAH UNGGUL MELALUI IMPLEMENTASI KEPEMIMPINAN ETIS DI SMAN JAKARTA

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bagaimana kepemimpinan etis diimplementasikan oleh kepala sekolah menengah atas di Jakarta dalam upaya mempertahankan status akreditasi “sekolah unggul”. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus multi-situs, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi non-partisipatif, dan analisis dokumen di lima SMA negeri yang tersebar di lima wilayah administratif DKI Jakarta. Kepala sekolah yang menjadi subjek penelitian dipilih berdasarkan kriteria kepemimpinan yang terbukti berhasil mempertahankan akreditasi A dan memperoleh penghargaan resmi. Temuan penelitian mengidentifikasi delapan dimensi utama kepemimpinan etis yang konsisten diterapkan: kerendahan hati, komitmen terhadap tugas, kejujuran dan transparansi, keadilan, penghormatan terhadap individu, orientasi pada orang lain, keberanian moral, serta dorongan untuk terus berkembang. Dimensi-dimensi ini membentuk budaya kepercayaan, kolaborasi, dan kinerja berkelanjutan yang krusial dalam menjaga mutu institusi. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa kepemimpinan etis bukan sekadar tuntutan moral, tetapi juga landasan strategis dalam mempertahankan predikat sekolah unggul di lingkungan pendidikan urban yang kompleks.
