Abstract


This study aims to prove the independence of learning to understand the concept of mathematics students SMA Negeri Tangerang Selatan, Inginmembukti parents to students of SMP Negeri Kota Tangerang Selatan. This research is a survey research in SMA Negeri Kota Tangerang Selatan Year 2017 / 2018. Samples measuring 60 students are randomly chosen some SMA Negeri in South Tangerang City. Data collection was conducted by questionnaire and questionnaire. Data analysis with descriptive statistical method, validity test, realibity test, and multiple regression analysis. The study was conducted from February 2018 to May 2018. The results of research can be stated that: 1) There is a significant influence of learning independence and parents' attention together to understanding the concept of mathematics students of SMA Negeri Kota Tangerang Selatan, this is evidenced by the acquisition of sig value. 0.021 <0.05 and Fh = 4.124. 2) There is a significant influence of learning independence on understanding mathematical concepts of students of SMA Negeri Tangerang Selatan, this is evidenced by the acquisition of sig value. 0.038 <0.05 and th = 2.123. 3. There is no significant influence of parents' attention to the understanding of mathematics concepts of students of SMA Negeri Kota Tangerang Selatan, this is evidenced by the acquisition of Sig value. 0.260> 0.05 and th = 1.138. The independence of learning and the attention of parents have a positive, close and significant relationship to the understanding of mathematical concepts. This suggests that to improve understanding of mathematical concepts can be done by increasing the independence of learning and attention of parents.
