Abstract

The Effect of Academic Procrastination and Mathematical Disposition on Mathematical Problem Solving Ability in High School Students in Depok; Thesis. Jakarta; PMIPA Postgraduate Faculty; Indraprasta University PGRI. The purpose of this study was to study the effect of Academic Procrastination and Mathematical Disposition on Mathematical Problem Solving Ability. The research method used was a survey method. Samples were taken as many as 86 students by simple random technique. Data collection is done by using a questionnaire directly to the sample. Data analysis uses descriptive statistics such as finding mean, median, standard deviation, and inferential statistics, which is to find path analysis (path analysis). The results showed: (1) There was a significant direct difference in the mathematical problem solving ability of high school students in Depok. This is proven by the approval of Sig. 0,000 < 0.05 and th = 5,830. (2) Has a significant direct effect on the mathematical problem solving ability of high school students in the Depok area. This is proven by the approval of Sig. 0.01 < 0.05 and th = 2.388. (3) Significantly related directly to academic procrastination on the mathematical disposition of high school students in the Depok area. This is proven by the approval of Sig. 0,000 < 0.05 and th = 7,700, (4) Can indirectly influence the insignificant academic procrastination through a mathematical disposition towards the problem solving ability of high school students' mathematics in the Depok area. This is evidenced by agreeing to the value of th < tt (0.989 < 1.988). To improve the ability of Mathematical Problem Solving it is necessary to change the application that is adapted to the characteristics of students who are wrong only increase teacher competence, student interest in learning.
