Abstract

Abstrack This research purpose are 1) Direct effect of parent’s attention on students' science  learning achievement of Private junior high school in South Tangerang. 2) Direct influence of reading interest in students' science learning achievement in private junior high school in South Tangerang. 3) Direct effect of parents' attention on students' reading interest of private junior high school in South Tangerang. 4) Indirect effect of parents' attention of students' reading interest in science learning achievement of private junior high school in South Tangerang. The research method used was causal survey method with path analysis research design (path analysis population were all students of VIII grades Private junior high school in South Tangerang, total 510. The sample was 89 students. The results showed : 1) There's significant parents' attention of Science Learning Achievement in Private junior high school in South Tangerang. It's proved by  sig = 0.001 <0.05, and tcount = 3.598.  2) There's significant direct effect of Reading Interest  on students' science learning achievement  in Private junior high school in South Tangerang. It's proved by sig = 0,000 <0.05, and tcount = 4.362. 3) There's  significant direct effect of parents' attention on student' reading Interest in Private junior high school in South Tangerang. It's proved by sig = 0,000 <0.05, and tcount = 8.635. 4) There's significant indirect effect of parents' attention of students' reading interest in science learning achievement of Private high school in South Tangerang. This is evidenced by the value of tcount = 3.376> ttable = 1.974
