Abstrak
The research aims to find out: (1) The direct influence of emotional intelligence to the ability to solve mathematical problems in public junior high school students in the city of Depok. (2) The direct influence of interest in learning on mathematical problem solving skills in public junior high school students in the city of Depok. (3) Direct influence of emotional intelligence and interest in learning on mathematical problem-solving skills in public junior high school students in the city of Depok. (4) the indirect influence emotional intelligence to the ability to solve mathematical problems through the interest in learning from junior high school students in Depok city. The research method used is a survey method, with sampling techniques using path analysis. The results of testing the hypothesis obtained conclusions, namely: 1) There is a significant direct effect of emotional intelligence to the ability to solve mathematical problems; 2) There is a significant direct effect of interest in learning on mathematical problem solving skills 3) There is a significant direct influence of emotional intelligence to interest in learning; 4) There is a significant indirect effect of emotional intelligence to the ability to solve mathematical problems through interest in learning.
