PENGARUH KONSEP DIRI DAN KEMANDIRIAN BELAJAR TERHADAP PEMAHAMAN KONSEP ILMU PENGETAHUAN ALAM (Survei pada SMPN Jakarta Timur)

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out: 1). Effect of Self-Concept and Independence Learning together on Understanding the Concept of Natural Sciences. 2). Effect of Self Concepts on Understanding the Concept of Natural Sciences. 3). Effect of Learning Independence on Understanding the Concepts of Natural Sciences. The method used in this study is a survey method. A sample of 90 students were taken using proportional and simple random sampling techniques from Class VIII students of SMP Negeri in East Jakarta. Data collection was carried out with a questionnaire and practice questions. Data analysis with descriptive statistical methods, Pearson correlation coefficient and regression analysis. Statistical tests used the F test. The results showed; 1). There is a significant influence of Self Concept and Independence Learning together on Understanding of Natural Science Concepts of State Junior High School students in East Jakarta. This is evidenced by the value of Sig = 0,000 <0.05 and Fcount = 49,774. 2). There is a significant effect of Self Concepts on Understanding of Natural Science Concepts of State Junior High School students in East Jakarta. This is evidenced by the value of Sig = 0,000 <0.05 and tcount = 5.124. 3). There is a significant influence of Learning Independence on Understanding of Natural Science Concepts of State Junior High School students in East Jakarta. This is evidenced by the value of Sig = 0.001 <0.05 and tcount = 3.316. To improve understanding of the Concept of Natural Sciences. Thus that the self-concept and independence of learning can affect the increase in understanding of students' natural science learning concepts.
