Abstract


The purpose of this research is to analyze and test the truth of the hypothesis about the influence of learning strategy and interest in learning to the result of Natural Science studies. Research hypotheses to be tested include: 1) Knowing the influence of Learning Strategies on Learning Results of Natural Science Students; 2) Knowing the influence of Learning Interest on Natural Science Students’ Learning Outcomes; 3) Knowing the interactive influence of Learning Strategy and Learning Interest on Natural Science Students’ Learning Outcomes. The research method used is an experiment. The population is private junior high school (SMP) students in Depok city with samples of 84 students consisting of 42 students of experimental class and 42 students of control class, sampling technique used is Proportional sampling. The research instrument used as the data collection is done by giving the study result of Natural Science’s 40 multiple choice questions form. Data analysis using a two-way analysis of variance (ANOVA). Data analysis consists of instrument testing, concept comprehension, IPA, validity and reliability test, and questions level difficulty. Furthermore, the test requirements analysis, homogeneity test, and Normality test. The results showed that: 1) There is a significant influence between learning strategies on the learning outcomes of private junior high school students in Depok city, this can be proven by the acquisition of Sig value. 0.000 <0.05. and F=19.306. 2) There is a significant influence between the interest of learning on the science results of private junior high school students in the city of Depok, this is evidenced by the acquisition of Sig value. 0.000 <0.05.and F=126.338. 3) There is a non-significant interaction effect between learning strategy and interest in learning on private science study of private junior high school students in Depok city. This is evidenced by the acquisition of Sig value. 0.261> 0.05. and F=0.611 The results of this study is useful to improve the quality of learning and improve learning outcomes Natural Science students at the junior level.
