Optimalisasi Kualitas Produksi Mobil di PT. Y dengan Metode Six Sigma dan FMEA

Abstract
The rapid growth of the automotive industry has intensified market competition, driving companies to maintain product quality. PT. Y prioritizes quality control to reduce defective products, or defects, which can impact the company's profitability. One effort to improve product quality is the implementation of Six Sigma and Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) to identify and address product defects in the production process. Based on the analysis, the highest defect rate was found in the Rr Door Div Bar and Qtr Wind W/S Outlh, with a Defect Per Million Opportunities (DPMO) of 27,160 and a Sigma level of 3.42. The root causes of defects include uneven operator skills, defective materials received from suppliers, and an unsupportive production environment. The proposed solutions include operator training, improving workplace cleanliness, and enhancing quality control over materials from suppliers. The implementation of these improvements is expected to reduce the number of defective products, increase production efficiency, and maintain the company’s competitive edge in the global automotive market. This study provides valuable insights into the importance of quality control in achieving optimal and sustainable production standards.
