Penerapan Perawatan Mesin Die Cut Menggunakan Metode Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) di PT Empat Perdana Carton

Abstract
The central role of machinery in various industrial sectors is fundamental to the operational success of a company. All activities aimed at maintaining factories and equipment, including carrying out necessary repairs, adjustments, and replacements, are crucial in ensuring production operations run smoothly and according to plan. This research investigates the relationship among frequent failures in die-cutting machines using the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) method, which incorporates several additional methods such as Functional Block Diagram (FBD), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), Logic Tree Analysis (LTA), and Task Selection. The research was conducted for three months, with the anticipated outcome of providing the company with recommendations regarding the use of the RCM method. The implementation of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) at PT Empat Perdana Karton proved effective in identifying and reducing the frequency of failures in the Die Cut machine due to the appropriate maintenance taken for each machine component. Comprehensive analysis revealed that the relay component requires special attention, while the overall approach successfully reduces downtime and increases production efficiency. This method is recommended to optimize machine operations with tailored maintenance. Maintenance recommendations for the Finding Failure (FF) section include daily, weekly, and monthly actions. In contrast, the Time Directed (TD) section focuses on component replacement schedules based on established intervals. This approach can encourage the company to implement a more structured and preventive maintenance strategy.
