Abstract
Sociolla is the most complete and trusted beauty e-commerce platform in Indonesia. It has the most comprehensive product catalog with a wide variety of products. As a result, many consumers find it difficult to choose skincare products that meet their facial needs. To address this issue, a skincare product recommendation system needs to be developed to simplify consumers' selection process. This research aims to apply content-based filtering method in a skincare product recommendation system. The system uses the prototype development method with stages including communication, rapid planning, and modelling. The recommendation system method uses content-based filtering with the TF-IDF algorithm and cosine similarity. Based on the data modelling results using the content-based filtering method with 30 sample data, it can provide skincare product recommendations based on the consumer query: "A toner that effectively removes bumps for combination and acne-prone skin containing Centella Asiatica Extract and PHA." Based on this query, the skincare product recommendation system was able to provide product recommendations by generating the highest similarity score of 0.61, which was SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Toning Toner.
