Author Guidelines

Before prepare and submit article manuscripts, please note that author(s) are discouraged from withdrawing submitted papers after it is in the publication process (review, copyedit, layout, etc.,). During the time, JOTI had spent valuable resources besides time spent in the process.

Please prepare your manuscript before submission, using the following guidelines and the article template below:

  1. JOTI publishes scientific studies and/or research results in technology and engineering, which contribute to understanding, the development of theory, the development of methods and concepts of science, and can be applied to society.
  2. Articles must be original and are works that have not been published in other journals before. Articles that have been presented in a seminar forum, should be mentioned forum.
  3. Articles are written in Indonesian, abstracted in English.
  4. Articles are written in English, abstracted in Indonesian.
  5. The length of the script between 10-15 pages, A4 size paper with upper, lower, left and right borders of 3 cm each, typed 1 space, Microsoft Word 2000 or later, Times New Roman font size 11.
  6. The article writing format is recommended as follows:
    1. The title, written briefly is solid and should reflect the substance of the article as a whole.
    2. Author's Name (without title), completed with e-mail, HP number and college origin (complete stages include study program and faculty)
    3. Abstract (maximum 200 words), consists of only 1 paragraph.
    4. Keywords, filled with words or terms that reflect the essence of the concept in the article, between 3-5 words.
    5. Introduction containing background, problem formulation, research objectives, relevant theories, and hypotheses (if any)
    6. Methods, including research methods, sampling, and data analysis techniques.
    7. Results and Discussion.
    8. Concluding remarks consisting of conclusions and suggestions
    9. References, cultivated from the primary and recent sources, and only include the sources referenced in the contents of the article. Instead, the name referenced in the contents of the article should be in the bibliography. The writing of the bibliography follows the following rules;
