Isu kerusakan lingkungan nasional sendiri merupakan isu yang ramai diperbincangkan mulai dari kerusakan yang disebabkan oleh pencemaran air, udara, tanah, perubahan iklim atau pemanasan global, penipisan sumber daya alam, kepunahan keanekaragaman hayati, penggundulan hutan, pengasaman laut, abrasi, dan sebagainya. Salah satu faktor penyebab kerusakan lingkungan adalah ulah manusia yang mengeksploitasi alam secara berlebihan dan juga kurang peduli terhadap lingkungan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat pengaruh pengetahuan tentang masalah lingkungan dan keinginan bertindak terhadap perilaku tanggung jawab lingkungan siswa. penelitian peneliti menggunakan metode survey kausal dengan menggunakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis jalur (path analysis). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, terdapat pengaruh langsung pengetahuan tentang isu terhadap keinginan bertindak dengan skor 0,587. Kedua, terdapat pengaruh langsung niat bertindak terhadap perilaku bertanggung jawab terhadap lingkungan dengan skor 0,735. Ketiga, terdapat pengaruh langsung pengetahuan isu terhadap sikap tanggung jawab lingkungan dengan skor 0,603. Terakhir, terdapat pengaruh tidak langsung pengetahuan isu terhadap perilaku bertanggung jawab terhadap lingkungan melalui niat bertindak dengan skor 0,431.
