Abstract


ABSTRAK

Berdasarkan pentingnya pengembangan kepribadian yang efektif pada anak-anak dengan kebutuhan khusus, artikel ini bertujuan untuk memberikan wawasan tentang pendekatan konseling multikultural dalam mendorong kepribadian anak-anak dengan kebutuhan khusus (ABK). Konseling multikultural adalah proses interaksi / konseling antara dua orang dengan latar belakang budaya yang berbeda. Seorang konselor multikultural harus memiliki pengetahuan tentang konseling dan teknik sosial-budaya, sikap terbuka dan toleran terhadap perbedaan, dan keterampilan dalam memodifikasi teknik konseling secara efektif dalam pengaturan budaya yang berbeda. Konselor harus memahami masalah masing-masing kelompok ABK berdasarkan perspektif dan konselor mereka sendiri, dan memiliki empati untuk membantu ABK sesuai dengan kekhususan mereka.

ABSTRACT

Based on the importance of effective personality development in children with special needs, this article aims to provide insight into multicultural counseling approaches in encouraging the personality of children with special needs (ABK). Multicultural counseling is a process of interaction / counseling between two people with different cultural backgrounds. A multicultural counselor must have knowledge of counseling and socio-cultural techniques, an open and tolerant attitude towards differences, and skills in modifying counseling techniques effectively in different cultural settings. Counselors must understand the problems of each ABK group based on their perspectives and the counselor themselves, and have empathy to help ABK in accordance with their specificit
